Celebrating 70 years of Australian-Sri Lankan diplomatic relations, the Diaspora Photo Exhibition showcased the rich cultural ties and shared history between the two nations. Launched in February 2017 at the Australian Parliament House by then Foreign Minister, the Hon. Julie Bishop MP, the exhibition brought to life the stories, contributions, and connections of the Sri Lankan diaspora in Australia. Throughout the year, it traveled to significant venues, including the Melbourne Immigration Museum and the Australian High Commission in Sri Lanka, offering audiences a powerful visual narrative of resilience, heritage, and unity across borders.
